NGOConnect was a dream project- it thrived in a world when NGOs were abundant, people were proud to be associated with them and they tried to do as much good as they could. Not all were perfect, not all were able to do what they were set up for—there may have been some dubious ones too. NGOConnect stopped publishing in 2013 because the aims with which it was started simply did not happen. I wanted it to be a sharing of ideas and hopes between NGOs—but that didn't happen. I wanted it to be a place for NGOs to talk about their work—for some reason they had no sense of News as a document of their work. All too often donors were more important than sharing ideas or news.

Whatever—that world no longer exists. NGOs are a dying breed and those that exist are carrying on bravely. All the best to them. The archives will give you an idea of what NGOConnect was about. Enjoy!
